I am very happy with this carrier. Previously, I had a Baby Bjorn for my newborn, but my baby quickly grew out of that. I wanted a soft, structured carrier that would grow with him, and this just seemed like the perfect fit. He's happy in it, and I'm very comfortable wearing it. It feels like you're wearing a nice backpack for trekking. He's too big for me to carry on my front, but I really like the fact that with the New Generation Ergo I can carry him on my hip (as opposed to the classic version, as I understand) as well as on my back. As the pocket is just not big enough for everything I need when we go out, I am going to purchase the clip-on backpack as well, so I can have both hands free. As the previous reviewer mentioned, it takes a little practice getting baby in the carrier, but once you've got it, it's a breeze. The only thing I would say could be improved would be to make a little neater storage option for the sleeping hood. Stuart at Free Range Kids has provided impressive customer service, next-day delivery, and follow-up advice and solutions for any questions I had about the carrier.
